Pour. Sip. Repeat
With 10 beers on tap total, Brent’s Bar remains committed to quality, only selecting the best for our valued customers. Are you curious about our choice in local beers and the breweries behind them? Learn more about the hoppy concoctions we carry–straight out of California!
14 Cannons Tryannicide IPA (7.5% ABV / 53 IBU): Equal parts floral and fruity, this double dry hopped IPA is mellow with notes of citrus, passion fruit, melon, berry, papaya, and grapefruit. Made with newer varieties of hops such as Simcoe, Mosaic, and Eukanot, we recommend this beer to both IPA lovers and skeptics alike for its well rounded, full-bodied flavor.
14 Cannons Hefeweizen *Rotating Tap*: This autumn or winter season, ask your bartender about our rotating tap supplied by our local Westlake Village neighbors at 14 Cannons Brewery. Featuring classic yet light Hefeweizens infused with a fruity twist such as guava, passionfruit, or blood orange, these seasonal German-style wheat beers never fail to disappoint.
As a local, family-owned business ourselves, it is important that Brent’s Bar supports fellow businesses in our community. When we asked a few of our regular customers what they think about our new tap offerings, one customer who is particularly fond of our rotating Hefeweizen, shared: “Stores are filled with beers you can get just about anywhere—we come here to Brent’s Bar because we know they offer these great, locally crafted beers from brewers in the area.”
Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin (7% ABV / 70 IBU): From sunny San Diego, Ballast Point’s award-winning IPA combines tart and tangy citrus with bitter hops for powerful flavor that packs a punch. Refreshing all the same, we recommend the Grapefruit Sculpin to IPA and craft beer enthusiasts looking for a unique flavor or something less floral. This beer is not for the faint of heart!
Figueroa Mountain Hoppy Poppy IPA (6.5% ABV / 65 IBU): Inspired by the spring-blooming California poppy, this smooth and well-balanced IPA is made from Cascade, Columbus, and Centennial hops as well as a wide array of malts including Pale Two Row, Crystal, Wheat, and Cara. Bursting with floral flavor and aroma, the Hoppy Poppy also contains underlying notes of lemon zest, orange, grapefruit, and (surprise!) pine needles–with just enough hoppy bitterness to make your taste buds tingle. Are you truly a Californian if you haven’t tried this buoyant craft beer?
Figueroa Mountain Danish Red (5.5% ABV / 23 IBU): One of the classic core beers from Central California brewing company, Figueroa Mountain, this Danish-style red lager is a go-to for European ale lovers. Rich in caramel malt flavor, this amber lager offers robust, balanced flavor from a combination of Northern Brewer and German Noble hops with Weyermann Pilsner, Munich, and Crystal malts. Inspired by the Danish village of Solvang in Santa Ynez and the red ales hailing from Denmark, this Danish Red will transport you across the Atlantic–without the cost of airfare!
Happy American Beer Day from the Brent’s Deli family to yours! Tell us about your favorite craft beer(s), and don’t forget to drink responsibly.
